Calendar measures 6 1/4 inches in length.
New, unused, unpunched in original Seasons Greetings mailing envelope.
Jack Kingston (1925-1996), dubbed "The Canadian Playboy," was the first Canadian artist to be signed by Capitol Records. He also recorded for Starday, Sparton, Birchmount, Marathon, Arrow. He appeared on the CHML Main Street Jamboree, the CKNX Barn Dance, the Grand Ole Opry, Louisiana Hayride, WLS Barn Dance, Big D Jamboree, et al. In the same western tradition as Wilf Carter and Hank Snow, Jack's many recordings include "Yodeling Cowboy," "Two Hearts One Love," "A Love That's True," et al. As a songwriter, he authored the tunes "Springhill Mine Explosion" and "Miracle of Colliery 2", which recounted the tragic late 1950s Nova Scotia mine explosions. He also wrote "The Noronic Disaster," a song about the tragic 1949 shipboard fire in Toronto harbor.
