Vintage Chouinard Blue Shaft 65cm Piolet Ice Axe (~26 inches for the metric
impaired)
This piolet is one of the last blue shaft ice axes made by Chouinard in the mid-late 80s.
Very minimal signs of usage. Shaft is in great condition, not nicks
These axes have a great balance and are wonder to swing.
I have 60cm that has been on
mountains all over the world and I still use it and other carbon fiber tools. At this point, and in
this condition some would call it a collector's
item but I would say buy it and use it as it was meant
to be used.
